Deckel Adapters: Voigtlander Bessamatic / Ultramatic / Retina S Lenses to Pentax 42 Bodies  $325

Deckel Adapters: Use your classic Voigtlander Bessamatic, Ultramatic, Kodak Retina SLR or IIIS  lenses on most 42mm Screw Mount Bodies   Amazingly, you can now use classic Voigtlander Bessamatic, Voigtlander Ultramatic, Kodak Retina SLR, or Kodak IIIS lenses  on  Pentax 42mm screw mount bodies.   For Canon FD or Canon EOS, add a second 42mm screw mount adapter, and use those bodies as well.   There is NO linkage between the bodies and the lenses, BUT the adapter does couple to the lens, giving you automatic depth of field indication as you change f/stops. TTL metering possible at shooting aperture.   Will not fit Fujica screw mount bodies due to the meter coupling pin on the Fujica body.  All these mounts were championed if not invented by the makers of the Compur shutter,  the Friedrich Deckel Company of Munich, Germany, Special Order Limited Production, delivery averages 3 weeks after payment    ORDER

Screw mount Pentax 42mm Screw Bodies including the Voigtlander Bessaflex (but not Fujica screw mounts), you can also add a 42mm to other mount adapter,  such as 42mm to Canon FD, Canon EOS, Yashica/Contax, Rollei bayonet, Fujica bayonet,  or Mamiya XTL

use your Kodak Retina IIIS, Retina Reflex, or Voigtlander Bessamatic / Ultramatic on other SLR bodies

What's a Deckel? Deckel is the manufacturer of Compur shutters, and apparently the inventor of the very similar  Retina IIIS/ Retina Reflex / Voigtlander Bessamatic / Ultramatic mounts.  These mounts are often referred to as "Deckel" mounts in Japan.   The Deckel adapter can mount all 3 mounts on the so called "Pentax screw mount" cameras, which really first appeared on the East German Zeiss Contax SLRs.   The adapter links to the lenses to provide manual aperture control, as well as linking to the movable depth of field scales.  You will have stop down TTL metering, and whatever other extras that particular body will allow with stop down metering.  Shown is the Voigtlander 50/2 Septon lens with two adapters, and the excellent but little heralded Chinon CE-3.

The adapter mounted on the camera, with the Retina IIIS 50/1.9 Xenon and the Voigtlander 50/2 Septon

the Deckel adapter mounted on the camera, you can leave the adapter on and simply change lenses

The adapter will work fine on most 42mm screw mount bodies.  However some bodies such as the Fujica 801 and 901  have metering lugs which prevent the adapter from seating completely.

The Canon T90 with Canon 300TL flash mounting Retina IIIS 50/1.9 Xenon, the Canon F1 with motor and action finder mounting the Voigtlander Bessamatic / Ultramatic 50/2 Septon

Have you ever wished for TTL flash, spot TTL flash, motor drive up to 5 fps, your choice of average, centerweighted, or spot metering, up to 9 multi spot meter readings, waist level finders, action finders, or 250 film backs for your Kodak Retina IIIS, Retina Reflex, Voigtlander Bessamatic, or Voigtlander Ultramatic?  NO PROBLEM!  Just use the Deckel adapter plus a Pentax Screw to Canon FD adapter, to mount those lenses on the Canon T90 or Canon F1.  All of the above functions are at stopped down aperture: there is no linkage between the adapter and the camera.

That's right folks, you can add a Pentax screw mount adapter to the Deckel adapter, and mount your lenses on a wide variety other SLRs, including Canon FD, Canon EOS, Konica Autoreflex, Miranda, Alpa, Mamiya XTL, Olympus Pen F/FT, Rolleiflex 35 SLRs, Zeiss Ikon Icarex, Pentax K, Fujica X bayonet, and Contax/Yashica SLRs.  My oh My, think of the possibilities.
